Revelate Designs Gas Tank & Mag Tank

My most-used bag is the Revelate Designs Gas Tank. I've used it for five to six years and the zip is still perfect, exceeding my expectations for durability. The amount of use this bag has seen and still looks amazing. For such extensive use, I’m truly impressed by its resilience.

The newer Mag Tank offers the same great features with the added convenience of a magnetic closure. It’s basically a Gas Tank upgrade, and I’d switch to the Mag Tank once my Gas Tank finally gives out.

Revelate Designs Frame Bag

The Revelate Designs frame bag has also held up exceptionally well over the years. I prioritize durability over weight in my gear choices, and this bag has exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic addition to my bikepacking setup. It fits my Giant XTC perfectly, but it's important to consider the specific dimensions of your frame before purchasing.

Revelate Designs Saddle Bag & Jerrycan

My Revelate Designs saddle bag, which I've also had for years, has performed flawlessly with minimal wear and tear. The quality is superb. While not advertised as waterproof, it's become slightly leakier over time; use a dry bag inside for extra protection in wet conditions.

The Jerrycan is a smaller bag; I use it on shorter trips where the frame bag isn't necessary. It's perfect for carrying essentials like food, tools, and extra tubes.

Revelate Designs Mountain Feeder Bags & Harness System

The Mountain Feeder Bags are excellent for carrying extra gear, food, and water bottles, especially when used with a frame bag. They've proven durable and reliable. I've been using the Revelate Designs harness system for a while now. It's great, especially since I've refined my packing to minimize front weight.

Accessory Bag & Overall Conclusion

The accessory bag is less used, as I found it impacted bike handling when fully loaded. While I paid full price for all these bags, I'm pleased with the quality and durability. Revelate Designs consistently delivers high-quality, durable bikepacking bags. However, consider your packing style and bike's geometry before making purchases. The minor waterproofing issues in the saddle bag are worth considering, but overall they are extremely robust.

These bags are a worthwhile investment for serious bikepackers who prioritize durability and functionality over featherweight designs. My overall experience with Revelate Designs has been very positive, and I would confidently recommend them.
